It is Garmins first swim-proof training device that is water resistant to 50 meters. The 310XT features a long battery life for up to 20 hours of intense training plus a high-sensitivity GPS receiver with HotFix to give it faster satellite reception than the Forerunner 305 units. The Forerunner 310XT with HRM also ships with a new waterproof soft-strap heart rate monitor. The heart monitor is streamlined and more comfortable than ever, yet rugged enough to withstand swimming. Users can upload data to Garmin Connect, a web-based application that lets them analyze, share and store workouts using ANT+. This combination of powerful features makes 310XT the triathletes or the everyday runners perfect training tool.
